I work at a nearby college and after commenting on two of our students great cuts only to hear that if I was going to get my hair cut, I “HAD to see Jennifer at Solé Salon,” I was very intrigued.

Needless to say I made an appointment right away and she gave me the exact cut that I wanted. Jennifer is truly a professional who knows how transform a haircut into a thing of art! She was so much fun and really made me feel comfortable right away. After 5 years of searching I’ve finally found a stylist that I can call a keeper. I will definitely be back.

I admired a friend’s hair cut and found out about Jennifer that way, and I’m happy to have tried her out! The last cut wasn’t working for me; I want one that will grow out a bit and still look good. She listened to what I like, and I thought her suggestions matched my ideas about what looks good quite well. I moved to the bay area 2 years ago, and had just barely been seeing a stylist before the move, over 20 years before that…so I was VERY nervous about trying anyone. Although I had a couple different stylists cut my hair before I was set on Jen, I always left happy, fresh and in style. I’m always looking forward to my hair appts and the wonderful way I am treated is something I’m still getting used to, love joining the world of hair cuts and hope the fun never ends, thank you Jen, you’re awesome and talented!!

All I can say it that I have lived in the Bay Area (Emeryville) for over a year and half and it took me that long to find the right Salon & Stylist (Jen). The combination of jennifer’s talents and the owners customers service are top notch. If your trying to find a salon that will make you feel comfortable and also make you look great Sole & Jennifer are for you!

Been a customer here since 2007. My stylist is Jennifer. She is awesome. My experience here has always been great. They offer tea during your appointment, gives you a head massage, shampoo, and styling after your haircut. I’ve always wanted to walk into a salon and tell the stylist to do whatever they want, just make me beautiful. I finally found the salon where I can do that. I’ve always had long hair since I was a kid but I was going through a change in 2007 and decided to chop my hair off. So Jennifer gave me a bob cut. I LOVED it. I think I cut off at least 8″-10″. Ever since then I always want to try something new and I never regret doing it. My fiancée loves the way I smell when i come back from the salon and he loves the way it is style. I recommended a lot of my friends and family there and I would say most of them like it here.

Jennifer is simply the best. She has given me the best haircuts of my life. Before I found her, I couldn’t find anyone who would do anything remotely artistic or fun with my super thick, curly hair. Jennifer really creates magic. Not only that, but the salon itself is wonderful, I always look forward to my appointments. And my job schedule is all over the place, but the staff has always been very helpful and understanding with any appointment switch ups. I love sole salon!

t’s all about Jenn! She gives me a fabulous haircut every time I see her, and I always receive compliments from random women about my hair. It’s all thanks to her. She is thorough and treats each haircut like it’s a masterpiece art project. She is also sweet, friendly, and hilarious, and always makes you feel comfortable when you’re in the chair. She definitely knows how to handle Asian hair.

The only bad thing is that she is so popular, it’s hard to get an appointment with her if you don’t call 3-4 weeks ahead of time. I made the mistake of trying Remedy, but I regret it now and fully intend on returning to Jenn for my next haircut.

I fly back from New York to get my hair cut by Jen! If that doesn’t convince you that she’s totally magical, nothing will.

This woman is AMAZING! Not just at cutting hair, but entertaining you the entire time you’re there.
Definitely second Stacy F’s comments about Jen really knowing how to cut Asian hair. It’s hard to do, and she totally rocks it.

Jen gave me some much needed layers and a color I absolutely loved. It was a dark chocolate, reddish hair color to change up my look for the fall. I love the long layers and bangs that she gave me to complete my look. The hair massage is AMAZING at the salon and she is truley a master at her work. She also is a great listener and has that sense of girlfriends feel which makes me only want to see her because she listens to my problems and gives me sound advice..Dont we all need a stylist and therapist like JEN! The Best.
