Good Things: I went there last Sunday to die my hair with Ashley. I was very nervous because I’ve been very unlucky with hair stylists in the US (I am from Portugal but I’m living here for 3 years..) Ashley did a pretty good job! She did exactly what I asked for and she was the only one, in 2 years of trial and error, that did it right. Thanks Ashley!
So so things: My scalp made some kind of reaction to the dye and I am all itchy and with some sort of crusts in my head. I called to talk to today to talk to Ashley but she wasn’t there. And whoever spoke with me was not very friendly and didn’t helped me that much. I also think some of the people there are a little snob..
Ashley is 5 starts. And I love my hair

I went in on Model Wednesday. My stylist was Ashley. I paid $20 for my haircut.
At first, I was very nervous since the director ended up cutting 60% of my hair. At least it’s in good hands? The director was there to guide Ashley step-by-step. My hair cut wasn’t easy. I wanted a dramatic A-line with stacks in the back, also with a wide head…yeah, quite difficult!
Even if he wasn’t there, I think she has the potential to do it well, but since she’s still an apprentice, I was totally relieved 60% of my hair was in the hand of an expertise! I left the place feeling SO hot!
For the classy, high quality nature of the salon and products, and the scalp massage, two stars.
For Ashley’s pleasant personality and recommendations that sound PERFECT for me, one star.
For the price, one star.
Ashley has convinced me to put some color in my hair, which I’ll go back for in two months! Ahh, i’m so excited, but I know I’ll be in good hands.

I got my hair highlighed at Sole earlier this year. I was very nervous having tried to do my own highlights and ending up with orangey stripes.
I have really black hair that turns red with highlights. Ashley did the highlights perfectly! The hightlights blend in beautifually and look natural and compliment my skin coloring. I have gotten so many compliments and best of all, my hair does not look damaged. I highly recommend their products as well. I picked up shampoo and conditioner to protect my hair and i already use their be curly gel. My hair looks and feels amazing!
Overall staff seemed friendly and engaged in little chitchats with each other and me.

Just adding my 5-stars to the many existing 5-star experiences on this Yelp page. Used my Groupon for a haircut with Ashley. Was in and out in 40 minutes for my choppy pixie cut without feeling rushed.
In classic Aveda style, I was greeted, offered tea or water (the tea is hot, slightly sweet, and lovely on a cool rainy day). Then, I removed my coat, donned the anorak-drapeover, and was led towards the back to go over what I wanted.
I am notoriously difficult to comprehend when I’m describing what I want. I tend to use emotional terms like how the hair should make me feel (hah!) rather than how I actually want it cut, mostly bc I suck at describing things and I don’t know the proper terminology. I think I used the words “choppy, textured, pixie, messy, fun” and “it annoys me when it grows out.” Riiiiight.
Whatever, Ashley read my mind and I love my new cut. It looks textured and just how I wanted even though I really didn’t say anything.
The facilites are clean, across from the Gap (yay sales!), and service is efficient. I didn’t even use my entire $50 groupon; I actually have $15 left for my next cut! Score.
Other fun perks… $25 for referral (see above), $25 on your birthday (a steal when a cut is $35), open 7 days a week. Text message confirmations – but be sure to confirm, or else if you miss, there’s a no-show fee. I’ll definitely be back.
